Patty Singleterry Obituary

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20

Patty Singleterry, 53, passed away Friday morning, April 13, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

Patty Lee was born to Peggy (Maxey) and Walter Andrew Fisher on August 25, 1964 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  Patty was raised in the loving home of her grandparents, Charlie and Nora O’Toole in Anadarko.  Patty O’Toole graduated from Anadarko High School in 1983 and attended college at Southwestern University, Weatherford.  It was at Southwestern where she met the Guymonite, Todd Singleterry, and they dated during college and married August 2, 1986 in Guymon.  Patty finished her Business Administration Degree at Panhandle State University, Goodwell.  She and Todd began their lives, raising their girls, living out their faith and giving back to their community.  Patty was an active member at First Presbyterian Church, where she had helped with the youth and children’s programs for years.  Patty and Todd helped with anything their daughters were involved in, whether it be Girls Scouts or church activities.  Guymon Community Theater was a beneficiary of Patty’s talent and energy.  She volunteered, directed and acted in many GCT productions.  With her sense of humor, strong faith, loyalty and fierce devotion, Patty Singleterry loved her family and friends so well.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Singleterry; daughters, Tracy Singleterry of Guymon and Kelly Singleterry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five sisters and their families,  Gail and Raymond Wood of Davis, OK; Threasa and Johnny George of Eakly, OK; Cathy Jo and Henry Kellogg of Drumright, OK; Debbie and Raymond McCoy of Davis;  and Becky Gill of Cheyenne, OK.   She is also survived by her father-in-law, Eddie Singleterry of Guymon; brother-in-law, Matt and Kari Kate Singleterry and their son, Blake, of Waco.  She was Aunt Patty to many nieces and nephews and her special Guymon nieces and nephews, Braley and Trevor Bowers, and their children, Ayden, Parker, Ryanne and Logan Bowers.

Patty was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, a sister, Penny Jean Bell; and her mother-in-law, Paula Singleterry.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon, April 16th, 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 310 NW 7th, Guymon, with Pastor Linda Sherry, officiating.  Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
