Max Wright, 80, longtime Adams, Oklahoma resident, passed away Tuesday evening, August 15, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of Lorena (Maley) and John George Wright, Max was born April 3, 1937 in Altus, Oklahoma.  He and Myrna were married June 28, 1959 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. The Wrights moved from Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Adams.  Max was a long time educator, was a shop teacher and superintendent for many years at the Adams School.  He received his 50-year pin from the Hooker Masonic Lodge. 

He is survived by his two sons, John Wright of Adams; Kevin Wright and wife Rena, of Plains, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kayla, Daren, Jordan and Jenae; and a great grandson, Bryson.

Max was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna, who passed away in 2008, three brothers, two sisters and daughter-in-law, Debi Wright.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 19th, 1:00 PM at the Union Center Cemetery with Rev. Odie Nunley, officiating.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.  Memorials may be given to the Hooker Masonic Lodge, c/o Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O.
