Leticia Acosta

Leticia Herrera Acosta, 57, passed away Friday afternoon, March 23, 2018 at her home in Optima, Oklahoma.

The daughter of Maria Joaquina Herrera and Ascencion Galvan, Leticia was born August 12, 1960 in Juarez, Mexico.  She had moved from Wisconsin to Guymon, where she worked for Seaboard for many years.  She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her mother, Maria Herrera of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her loving children, four sons, Enrique Herrera and wife, Maria; Ricardo Ragalado and Angel Acosta and wife, Amanda, all of Guymon, and Fernando Acosta and wife, Jaclyn of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Angelica Acosta and husband, Kevin Hernandez, and Ana Maria Acosta, of Guymon; six sisters, Velia Lopez, Graciela Bahena, Sonia Herrera, Lucia Herrera, Sandra Herrera, Irma Wittliff; and two brothers, Ernesto Herrera and Armando Herrera.  She is also survived by her thirteen adoring grandchildren, Lorena, Elisandro and Ismael Herrera, Gordo, Spider, Idalis and Sasha Gonzalez, Jocelyn and Ashlyn Hernandez, Xavier Regalado, Lucas and Marcus Acosta, Aiden Acosta; and two great grandsons, Isiah and Uriah Herrera-Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning, March 28th, 10-noon at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth Street, Guymon.   Memorial services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tino Espinoza, officiating. 

Leticia’s wishes were to not have a sad and dark remembrance of her.  Please do not wear black to her funeral and instead of flowers, (which she did not care for) please give memorials to her family to help with medical and funeral expenses.  Any memorials will be accepted at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK  73942.
