Leann Nickeson, 62 year old Texhoma, Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Amarillo Texas.

Leann Gwen Nickeson was born May 13, 1954 in Liberal Kansas to Eschor and Ilene (Trimble) Nickeson.  She attended the Turpin school system graduating with the class of 1972.  She went on to receive her bachelor degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas in 1976. She taught school in the Turpin School system for 13 years until she had to take a medical retirement.  Leeann loved showing horses and encouraging youth in showmanship and 4-H.  She had recently enjoyed playing cards and her friends at the No Man’s Land Senior Center in Guymon, liked doing ceramics and was an avid pet lover.

Leann was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Denny Nickeson.

Leann is survived by two brothers, Terry and his wife Jo of Turpin, Oklahoma and Larry and his wife Marilyn of Fargo, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Turpin, Oklahoma with Todd Bergman officiating.   Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
