Eddie Davy, 81, longtime Hooker, OK and later Goodwell, OK resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 15, 2016 at Heritage Community Manor, Guymon.

The son of Edna (Witschi) and Earnest Davy, Eddie Allen Davy was born September 15, 1935 in Shattuck, Oklahoma.  The Davy family moved to Guymon from Gage, Oklahoma in 1945 and Eddie graduated from Guymon High School in 1954.  As a proud Veteran, Eddie served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.  He returned to the panhandle and lived and worked in Hooker, retiring from Dorchester Gas Plant.   Eddie loved summers in Colorado where he patiently taught his sons to fish.  He was united in marriage to Joanne Taggart in 1995 and they enjoyed many wonderful years together. 

Survivors include his wife, Joanne Davy of the home in Goodwell; his children, Steve Davy and wife, Shelly of McAlester, OK and Joe Davy and wife, Petra of Frankfurt, Germany; Jan Robinson and husband, Tom of Ft. Collins, CO; Jill Hughes of Corinth, TX; and Wade Taggart and wife, Cheryl of Piedmont, OK; a brother, Jerry Don Davy and wife, Mickie of Oklahoma City.  He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, Chandler and Cameron Davy, Julian and Angela Davy, Kyle and Kailey Hughes, Jordan and Parker Taggart, Blake, Brandon and Bryce Dusenberry; and three great grandchildren, Isabella, Beniaha, and Amos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Gerald Walter Davy, brother, Melvyn Davy, and his sister-in-law, Billie Ann Davy.

Funeral services will be Monday morning, November 21st, 10:00 AM at the Panhandle Centenary United Methodist Church, 203 Main Street, Goodwell, with Rev. Michael Enright, pastor, officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Goodwell Cemetery.
