Guymon, Oklahoma – Annie Mejia, 57, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at BSA Hospital, Amarillo, Texas.

Annie May Abeyta was born on September 19, 1959 to Elsie (Romero) and Eusebio Abeyta.  She lived in Guymon her entire life and graduated from Guymon High School with the Class of 1978.  Annie was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.  She enjoyed baking and cooking, family time, music and Netflix movies. 

Annie is survived by her son, Jeremy Blane Chapman of Santa Ana, California; two sisters, Estella Sandoval and husband, LeRoy L.; Carmen Koehler and husband, Ronald; all of Guymon; two brothers, Ermie Abeyta and wife, Darlene, of Guymon; and David R. Rivera and wife, Rachel of Pecos, Texas.  She is also survived by her adopted Godchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Joshua Lee Chapman.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening, June 13th, 7:30 PM at Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth Street, Guymon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday afternoon, June 14th, 1:00 PM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Father Mike Wheelahan, officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Catholic Church and will be received at the church or at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK   73942.
